Lok Sabha MP from Aurangabad Imtiaz Jaleel has been appointed as the All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul-Muslimeen’s (AIMIM) state president of Maharashtra.
This comes ahead of the Assembly elections scheduled this year.
The General Secretary of AIMIM Syed Ahmad Pasha Quadri through a press release said that Shaker Patni will continue at the post of Mumbai’s party president.
Three regional presidents have also been appointed for Maharashtra. Aqueel Mujawar for western Maharashtra, Nazim Sheikh for Vidarbha and Feroz Lala for Marathwada.
AIMIM expanded its footfall outside Hyderabad by winning the Aurangabad seat in the 2019 Lok Sabha Polls.
