2 min read

BJP President Amit Shah today did a press conference and attacked the incumbent Mamta Banerjee led Trinamool Congress government for trying to stop their Rath Yatra. Yesterday the Calcutta High Court ordered against such Yatra as it could disrupt law and order situation in the state. This came as a setback for BJP as they had planned to cover all the 294 assembly seats in the next 40 days.
Amit Shah said that the party will not withdraw and will move to the Supreme Court against the decision. He also said that the situation of law and order is poor because of Trinamool Congress itself. As it was evident in the local body elections when a large number of seats remained uncontested by parties except that in power. Apart from elections, Amit Shah said that the West Bengal government has been a failure in tackling corruption and inflow of illegal Rohingya immigrants.
The BJP President claimed that their party is going to win a majority of Lok Sabha seats in the upcoming 2019 elections.
